The following photographs were taken on city streets, parking lots and sidewalks, mostly in my hometown of Baltimore but in other locations as well. They represent my interpretation of the generally accepted infrastructure that supports our feet and vehicles. No attempt was made to depict reality. However, none of the individual photographs were altered in any way that would make them unrecognizable once it’s understood that these are pictures taken of streets and sidewalks. Here are patterns, shapes and colors that do not occupy our attention but there they are, laid down on the asphalt and concrete for all to see.
